Commitment to our environment

Sustainability at Alma is part of our work culture, a value that permeates all decisions and processes, becoming part of our DNA.

At Alma, we hope that our commitment to the present will guarantee a better future for future generations.  We understand constant improvement from a continuous evolution, always from the respect and authenticity of an ecosystem that we build together.

At Alma, we have adapted the culture of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into a strategy that seeks sustainable development not only in the three traditional areas: economic, environmental and social, but we have added two additional dimensions: people and ethical governance.

In each of these areas, specific actions and objectives are carried out on a daily basis to seek a balance between meeting the needs of the present without compromising future generations.

Quality, Environment and CSR Policy

Global Compact

The UN Global Compact calls on companies and organizations to align their strategies and operations with the Global Compact’s Ten Principles concerning human rights, labor standards, the environment and anti-corruption, as well as with the Sustainable Development Goals. Alma Carraovejas and its wineries have been part of the Global Compact since 2017.

Race to Zero

As members of the International Wineries for Climate Action Association, we are adhering to the United Nations Race to Zero global campaign, committing to becoming climate neutral by 2050.

We will achieve this by reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as much as possible, thanks to our decarbonization plans, and once these are reduced, offsetting the remaining emissions with CO₂ absorption programs.
